SARATOGA BRAND CIGARETTES
Rainbow Distribution Company created the Saratoga brand of cigarettes to honour the history of the Mohawk Nation hunting grounds. The Saratoga brand honours the "hillside county of the quiet river."
THE HISTORY OF SARATOGA
The Saratoga brand was created by Rainbow Tobacco as a historic symbol commemorating the land in which the Mohawk Nation once used as hunting grounds.
These grounds were originally located in the Saratoga County of New York along both sides of the Hudson River. Saratoga is an adaptation of a word originating from the Mohawk Language meaning “the hillside county of the quiet river”.

Rainbow Distribution Company created the Deerfield Brand of cigarettes to honour the history of Kahnawake. The Deerfield brand is a constant reminder of Canadian and First Nation heritage for consumers across the country.
THE HISTORY OF DEERFIELD
"On a February night in 1704 a war party of Iroquois and their allies at the time, the French, attacked the village of Deerfield in the northwest part of Massachusetts. The ongoing war between the French and the English was escalating and the French were attempting to extend their control down to the city of Boston.
There were 111 captives taken that day, many of which were later adopted by the Iroquois and formed families with Iroquois companions. The village of Kahnawake, Quebec in Canada possesses families with direct lineage to these partnerships to this day."

The Wolf sits among the Bear and the Turtle as one of the three Clans in the Mohawk Longhouse. The Clan system is the structure of traditional Mohawk Government.
The responsibility of the Wolf is to keep the family together while leading and creating a path for all to travel down the journey of life. The path is to be followed with equality and unity while also providing enough space for individualism. Dreams and visions of individuals are considered key for the enhancement of all life. Respect for all life is first and foremost for all who travel down the path. The Wolf Clan exists today a significant part of traditional society in all Mohawk Communities.
